Introduction to Materials:
Feldspar is the general name of feldspar groups, and it is a kind of common aluminum silicate rock forming minerals consisting calcium and potassium. Feldspar in the crust is up to 60%, appearing in igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. Feldspar is the main mineral composition of most igneous rock, which is of great significance for the classification of the rock. Feldspar crystal is mostly tabular or extending along a crystallographic axis of the plate column. Feldspar are normally milk white, however, they are dyed yellow, brown, pale red, dark gray color due to containing impurities, but some still are in beautiful pseudo-chatoyancy or iridescence. The mohs hardness is 6 ~ 6.5.

Feldspar application fields:
Except for used as industrial raw materials, Feldspar minerals consumption accounts for more than 30% in the ceramic industry, also widely used in chemical industry and other industries. Firstly, glass solvent: feldspar is one of the major components of the glass mixture, because feldspar contains high alumina and low iron, so we can reduce the dosage of alkali. Secondly, ceramic blank ingredients: before calcinations, feldspar can be worked for the hard brittle raw materials to reduce the drying shrinkage and deformation of the body, improve the drying performance and shorten the drying time, when calcinations is done, it can be used as flux filling in the blank to make body density and reduce the gap as well as improve the translucency of the body.
